College of Engineering and Computer Science, VinUniversity

ICCLab was founded in September 2022, when Dr. Dinh Nguyen joined the College of Engineering Computer Science, VinUniversity.

Vision: Our research vision centers on designing intelligent and resilient wireless systems that employ the power of optimization theory and AI/ML to advance wireless communication technologies. The goal is to address challenges and take opportunities across various domains, fostering sustainable and adaptive solutions and multidisciplinary research (Smart Farming, Smart Healthcare, Intelligent Transportation, Environmental Intelligence).

What is research? Why do we conduct it?

The heart and soul of good writing is research; you should write not what you know but what you can find out about” (Robert J. Sawyer)

Research interests

  • Applied AI/ML techniques: IoT, 5G/6G
  • Tasked-oriented communication
  • Open radio access networks: fog/edge computing, slicing, traffic steering, load balancing
  • Wireless sensing, wireless imaging
  • Multidisciplinary research (smart farming, smart healthcare, environmental intelligence)

Awards and Prizes

  • Best Conference Paper Award of IEEE Statistical Signal Processing (SSP) Workshop, 2023
  • Exemplary Editor Award: IEEE OJ-COMS 2021 & 2023, IEEE COMML 2019 & 2021
