NAFOSTED proposal was funded
Our project, entitled Enhancing the Performance of 6G Open RAN Integrating Edge Computing and Network Slicing, was funded by the National Foundation for Science and Technology (NAFOSTED).
The integration of Open RAN and Edge Computing plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance of 6G systems. By enabling flexible, software-defined architectures and bringing computation closer to end users, this integration can significantly reduce latency and improve real-time service delivery. However, it also introduces challenges such as increased system complexity, resource management difficulties, and the need for efficient coordination between distributed network and computing components. To address these issues, intelligent resource allocation, AI-driven optimization, and dynamic network slicing are essential to ensure scalability, efficiency, and robustness in next-generation wireless networks.
